Our ‘Taking Literacy Outdoors: Early Years’ online training course is here

Take literacy outdoors with our new online training course for early years practitioners.

We are delighted to share that our ‘Taking Literacy Outdoors: Early Years’ online training course is now live.

This online course will illustrate how using the outdoors can improve literacy development in the early years. On completing this course, you will leave with:

  • enriched knowledge of how young children develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills;
  • deeper awareness of how the outdoors can increase young children’s literacy ability; and
  • increased understanding of how to take literacy outdoors on a day-to-day basis in your early years setting.

Our ‘Taking Literacy Outdoors: Early Years’ online training course was created by experts who understand the challenges and barriers early years practitioners face. In other words, we know that your time is valuable!

For that reason, our team of delivery staff have carefully selected the resources and activities supplied in this course, and organised them into an easy-to-access format. ‘Taking Literacy Outdoors: Early Years’ includes a range of ideas, videos, and readings to give you the freedom to focus on the aspect of outdoor learning and play that you find most important.
