Climate Education in the Early Years

The Climate Education in the Early Years course will cover the following:

• Building staff confidence and climate subject knowledge. 
• Considering climate-positive changes to your setting. 
• Mapping, voting, and implementing green interventions with early years children. 
• Plants – which, where and how to plant.  
• The importance of nature connectedness and how to promote this in your provision.  

This course is designed to boost confidence and climate subject knowledge for early years practitioners and explore how to approach climate change, experientially, outdoors. You will leave with an idea of how to empower your children to make climate positive change to their setting, a practical insight into what plants can make a positive difference and how best to plant them with early years children.  

This is a full day, practical course which takes place both in and outside. This includes periods of activity, tool use and being outdoors in all weathers for extended periods. Please come dressed for weather and conditions.
