Our work and response through Covid19 2020-22
The global pandemic put an immediate stop to a lot of our work as the UK went into ‘lock down’ early in 2020.
Since then the team at LtL and our funding partners have worked tirelessly to continue our work, to the benefit of the children, young people, educators and teachers in taking learning and play outdoors.
We are deeply grateful for the support and flexibility of a multitude of funders. We are also aware of the immense changes our team experienced – and yet rose to the challenge on.
Below are some of the projects and resources that LtL produced through the pandemic.
If you would like to find out more about our work, then take a look at the projects we’ve worked on, and those we have planned for the future.
Lockdown response
Weekly home learning
Our team produced home learning sheets, offering educational activities outdoors for children of all ages on a weekly basis. These sessions were used by teachers, educators and parents all over the UK. At first many activities were very restricted due to the severe lockdowns, but we adapted as the lockdowns varied. Free Outdoor Learning and Play Webinars and Training
We also looked to support teachers and early years educators in taking learning outdoors as schools and early years & childcare settings opened, either as the Key Worker hubs or for all children and young people as they returned.
All our webinars are in one YouTube playlist. Note some were made as ‘webinars’ through the spring of 2020, while others were our ‘Summer Sessions’ training week.
You can view the recordings here – note that some are LtL Member only resources.
