LtL Outdoor Learning & Play Champion School Award
About the award
The LtL Outdoor Learning & Play Champion School Award is exclusively available to schools with five or more Premium Memberships. Through a programme of staff training, consultation, and evaluation, your school will be fully supported to achieve Champion School status – the highest award we give to schools to reflect outstanding provision of outdoor learning and play.
Award format
In order to be awarded Champion School status, your school will need to complete the following within a 24 month period. Remember that with each Premium Membership, you receive a £25 discount on one in-person session.
- One Foundations training course
- One subject-based training course
- One play or activity training course
- One Advisory Visit
- One leadership planning and consultation session (in-person or online)
- One staff progress and feedback check-in (in-person or online)
- Submission of school policy for outdoor learning and play
- Submission of school grounds development plan
After award
In order to retain Champion School status, your school will need to complete the following by the end of the following calendar year:
- One refresher training session for school staff (in-person)
- One leadership planning and consultation session (in-person or online)
- Submission of school policy for outdoor learning and play
- Submission of school grounds development plan
Schools that achieve Champion School status will, with permission, be featured on our website and wider communications.
