What to expect

This full-day, in-person training is tailored to your school’s needs and delivered by experienced LtL trainers. The day includes:

  • Understanding the value of play: Explore the benefits of play, the role of adults, and how to build a consistent message across your school community
  • Spaces for play: Learn how different environments support different types of play, and how to make simple changes to your grounds
  • Auditing your space and practice: Use LtL’s audit tools to assess your current provision and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Loose materials play: Discover how low-cost, open-ended materials can transform playtimes. Includes outdoor practical activities and risk-benefit discussions
  • Play and learning: Explore curriculum links and see how play supports learning and wellbeing
  • Planning for change: Identify achievable next steps, from updating policies to sourcing materials and engaging your school community

Throughout the day, participants will engage in discussion, reflection, and hands-on activities, leaving with practical ideas and resources to implement immediately.

Flexible delivery options

Playtime Revolution training can be delivered in a way that works for your school. The prices below are for a group of up to 20 staff with one trainer:

  • One full day: £655 + VAT
  • Two half days: £960 + VAT (£480 + VAT per session)
  • Three twilight sessions: £1,140 + VAT (£380 + VAT per session)

We can also run shorter versions of the training across one half day session or one or two twilight sessions.

For larger groups, additional trainers can be provided at an additional cost. This training can also be combined with other courses as part of a Whole School Approach programme.
